Our client, a renowned player in the export business, is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to take on the role of Business Head - Exports Business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, market expansion, and overseeing the overall performance of the export function, including P&L responsibility, strategic direction, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the export business strategy to drive market expansion and growth.
- Manage P&L responsibilities for the exports division, ensuring financial targets and profitability goals are met.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities, markets, and channels to expand the export footprint.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and export partners.
- Oversee all commercial aspects of the export business, including pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Lead a team, providing strategic direction and ensuring efficient operations within the export department.
- Work closely with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure smooth product sourcing, shipping, and delivery to international markets.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Manage and optimize export logistics, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in the exports business, with a proven track record of driving business growth.
- Strong background in commercial aspects, preferably within the agri-commodities sector.
- Experience working with reputable export houses and understanding of international market dynamics.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of export regulations, documentation, and international trade processes.
- Proven ability to manage P&L responsibilities and achieve business targets.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and international partners.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in Agri commodities or related industries.
- Exposure to international markets and experience in market expansion.
- Knowledge of export logistics and supply chain management.
