POSITION SUMMARY :

This role is accountable for managing end-to-end sales & distribution business in India. The role covers all operational and strategic aspects of managing a Organization's subsidiary in line with the company's visions, values and strategy as well as sound, long-term business practices.

Position : Business Head - Consumer Business

Grade: VP

Reports to: MD

Location : Gurgaon

Key activities include:

- Take accountability for the P&L of the Business Unit.

- Prepare and achieve annual sales business plans and strategy in line with Regional and Global objectives

- Strengthen distribution set-up

- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, both internal and external customer relationships

- Develop new business opportunities and strategic plans

- Ensure that all operational processes for managing inventory are locked down with zero percent errors on inventory losses and variances on stock take

- Understand market dynamics of the product and predict trends for both upside and downside in prices/demand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1.Manage P&L for the business across all metrics of GP, EBITDA and EBIT against budget on a monthly and yearly calendar.Ensure accurate forecasting as per monthly and yearly forecasting reports, ensure forecasts accuracy is over 90%.

2.Plan, execute and achieve the budgeted sales targets as per the business plan.

3.Set direction and business priorities for the Business.

Ensure all operations processes are documented and mapped out to ensure all work flows are accurate. Publish reports outlining all sales activity and communicate to mgmt. via daily, weekly and monthly scorecards

4.Develop market intelligence and expansion of distribution network. Exploring new markets and to expand the distributor infrastructure and appoint new partners in untapped markets.

5.Develop & optimize marketing efforts tied in with growth and sales targets.

6.Manage key suppliers, distributors, Channel Partners and stakeholders.

7.Develop and sustain the existing network and effectively manage the supply chain

8.Monitoring cost and logistics.

9.Ensure to collect/recover the sales realization and outstanding.

10.Administration of all Sales Offices, by Optimum utilization of resources, Funds and Cost Control in general and Sales & Distribution cost in particular.

11.Effective control & minimize the leakages & damages

12.Identify and drive new business opportunities (new accounts, new services, new channels etc.) for India and grow services pipeline.

13.Support other Organization's subsidiaries in their business development efforts through expertise and resources related to Handset sales.

14.Ensure compliance with Organization and government policies and procedures.

15.Work with Regional Shared Services teams to ensure alignment on Finance, HR, Operations, Supply Chain

16.Ensure all employee development plans are documented and leadership development plans in place for High performers

17.Participate and present to Management in Regional Business performance reviews and QBR- s

DIMENSIONS :

- PAN India Operations

ESSENTIAL :

- Exceptional leadership skills in overall business mgmt. combined with Operational process management expertise. Can move between strategic and operational elements easily.

- Ability to handle and launch products through dealers & distributors. Strong Sales background in distribution sector.

- Highly developed communication and presentation skills across multiple geographies and cultures.

- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets. Demonstrate expertise leading a county operation in a Head Role, managing and improving profit & market share.

- Proven record in developing capability in subordinates via coaching, mentoring and robust application of Performance Management processes.

- High on work ethics & result orientation.

- Understanding of P&L, financial metrics, balance sheet and ability to forecast accurately.

- Ability to collaborate and coordinate across global, regional and local teams in both a service and execution capacity.
