POSITION DETAILS:
Job Title : Business Head- Cables
Location: HO (Mumbai)
Reports to: President - Infrastructure & Cables
JOB DUTIES :
Purpose : Secure COMPANY's long-term financial growth by setting and implementing strategic goals for Cables Business & ensuring a competitive advantage.
Job Summary : Accountability includes Revenue targets, Profit/Loss, Marketing & Business Development, Identifying new markets, Vendor/Sub-Contractor development, Business Risk Mitigation and allocation of resources.
Key Accountabilities :
Sales & Marketing :
- Identification and development of new clientele for Cables Business. (B2B Sales)
- Devise strategies to enter & launch the business in new markets.
- Strategic and tactical decision based on Marketing Intelligence.
- Business development activities including study of upcoming projects,tracking of competitor information, promotion of COMPANY business, visiting potential clients and strategic alliances.
- Deploy complete product and solutions portfolio to the identified accounts i.e. Design, Testing, Quality Control & Installation of EHV,HV,LV & Speciality Cables and Testing and Quality Control & execution of EHV XLPE Cables Turnkey Projects up to 220 kV Voltage grade.
Financial Management :
- Present a budget for board approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance.
- Determine annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for Cables; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyze trends and results establish pricing strategies; recommend selling prices; monitor costs,competition, supply, and demand.
Profit/Loss accountability - Profitability in line with Budget, forecasts,direct and indirect costs management.
- Working capital (receivables) management and maintaining positive cash flow.
- Negotiate and resolve issues related to taxation, banking & local laws.
Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain excellent relationships at all levels across various
- Ministries, government departments, industry bodies, Utilities, Suppliers and COMPANY business verticals.
- Forge sustainable alliances.
- Human Resources Management &Goal Setting
- Recruitment, selection and performance management of the team for driving effective results.
- Setting up of the targets and goals to achieve the sales targets.
- Transform COMPANY through credible interventions to make it a contemporary and open work place.

- Cables Business and is prepared to manage last minute changes
- Design, Testing & Quality Control etc for (IV) XLPE Cables up to 220 kV voltage grade
- Understanding of the power sector needs
