Job Opening for the Position of Business Head with the leading Automotive Industry for the Chennai Location.

POSITION SUMMARY:-

The position is responsible for timely delivering Tools and Fixtures Samples to the quality standards set by customers.

Additionally:

- Good customer connect and networking

- Exposure to strategic buying of Die, tool components and castings

- Commercial acumen

- Team engagement

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:-

- Responsible for in-house/Out sourced tool manufacturing, development and try-out activities to ensure the business objectives are met.

- Experience in Operational, Supplier & Customer Management.

- New business initiatives, projects, review and communicate the impact on Tool Room activities

- Manufacture new tools from technical drawings to a high level of workmanship and in an efficient, cost effective manner

- Co-ordinate with technical associates for technological up gradation of tool room in Design and manufacturing and Try-out.

- Budgeting annual Tool Room and all Capital Expenditure proposals. Responsible to lead and co-ordinate resources within the Tool room to ensure all tooling are produced on time and in line with quality standards set by customer.

- Responsible to give technical guidance to Manufacturing, Panel Try out and engineering with tooling.

- Good understanding of cutting tool technologies and processes used in Die manufacturing

- Strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure performance of tool room

- Sound experience in understanding of Sheet metal parts/Drawings, Process, die design

- Development, Capacity planning, Cutting managements, motivator, team player and a decisive leader with the ability to motivate teams to excel & win

LEVEL OF SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Professional with BE mechanical/Post Graduation in tool design

- Diploma / Post Diploma / BE / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Tool Engineering with min 20-25 years' of experience.

- Candidate should interpret with sheet metal forming simulation / Die design/ experience is required. Knowledgeable in Process plan development of stamping sequence

- Preferred experience in automotive panel stamping components

- Understanding of in CAD tools like CATIA / UG/ and simulation tool Auto form.

- Exposure in working with overseas tool maker shall have preference
