Job Title - Business Finance - Costing
The Role is with - a top chemical manufacturer.
Experience - 8 to 10 years of experience in costing profile
Reporting to the Head of Business Finance
Important note - Candidates must have a background in costing from Chemical or FMCG industries.
Role Summary: Responsible for costing and pricing of products, driving value-added initiatives across the manufacturing value chain and generating insights through business analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Costing and Pricing :
- Product pricing based on commodity market dynamics and available competition data.
- Product costing based on value chain understanding and to be in close coordination with the procurement team.
- Inventory management and suggest plans to liquidate the slow-moving inventory.
- Develop a pricing model based on input changes and sensitivity analysis.
- Develop a model to ensure maximum return based on available working capital.
Profitability Forecasting and Analysis of Actuals :
- Present P&L forecast based on SNOP
- Analysis of actual P&L and share insights for variations vis- vis plan
- Share insights to business for decision-making and for monthly business review meetings
- Support in making the Annual Business Plan
Publish Various Reports for Business Decision Making :
- Product-wise and customer-wise gross margin analysis of actuals
- Contract-wise sales profitability report for key products
- Financial feasibility for the launch of new products
- Actual margin analysis of new product launch and compare with initial assumptions
- Peer results update
- Special projects update
Job requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience post qualification (CA/CMA/ICWA/MBA-Finance)
- Working knowledge of the costing of chemical manufacturing products.
- Automation-driven mindset to work on various finance models for quick decision-making
- Ability to develop and institutionalize new financial processes and controls
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset
