Business Finance Manager

Objective / Purpose of duty :

- Responsible for responding to business requirement i.e. financial bid preparation, various financial model, evaluation of contract terms and conditions.

Main Responsibilities :

- Own complete budget process

- Close interaction with sales team to consolidate the pipeline and forecast information

- Maintain Backlog information

- Analyze pipeline

- Compile the monthly and YTD results, variance analysis and other reports as desired by Management from time to time.

- Close monitoring of the overheads and raise the timely - red flag-

- Project P&L monitoring - for large projects

- Compare the actual margin realized Vs projected by sales team for each transaction and report variance.

- Cost Sheet and Standard Margin Sheet preparation and analysis

- Calculation of channel back ends and rebates including monitoring of various channel programs.

RFP stage :

- Whet the RFP and circulate an observation sheet that captures critical elements of the RFP, incl summary of project scope, payment terms, commercial risks such as LDs, penalties, liabilities, etc. and other critical or non-standard terms that need specific approval.

- Propose risk-mitigation clauses / inputs to the account management team.

- Participate in large pre-bid meetings for seeking clarifications on commercial / contractual terms.

- Work on internal costs with all relevant stakeholders and convert cost to price as per 1f above.

Post-RFP / win stage :

- Get involved in commercial negotiations including re-work on costs to maintain / improve project profitability.

- Involvement in contractual negotiations for bettering the terms, where possible, and drive a - give-to-get- negotiation where concessions are yielded against some reverse concessions on other terms to create an overall win-win situation.

- Post closure of contract, drive negotiations with vendors on pushing costs down, better payment terms, etc. to improve overall deal profitability.

- Involvement in preparation of MIS w.r.t Bidding process viz win-loss analysis, winning ratio, follow up on EMD / BG recoveries, gains on accounts of negotiation if any etc.

Qualification : Bachelor degree in business (banking) or finance or equivalent.

Experience :

- Minimum 10 years- working experience - preferably 6 years in a Business Finance role

- Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

- E.R.P experience, preferably SAP knowledge

- Computer savvy

- Leadership qualities to move into senior roles

- Team player

- Good communication skills

- Basic qualities in terms of integrity and honesty

- Work under pressures and timely delivery of expectations
