Business Economist - Banking

Responsibilities/ Job :

Description :

- The role would involve in-depth economics/financial markets research with a critical focus on currency and interest rates markets

- The candidate is expected to have close tracking experience of the Indian economy - a good understanding of the Indian economy will be preferred

- Understanding of global economic dynamics and drivers of global financial markets will be an advantage

- The candidate is also expected to contribute towards public policy research, primarily from India's perspective

- The role would involve writing regular reports, including thematic reports on macro economy issues, public policy and on financial markets

- The candidate is also expected to help with regular client interactions

Other requirements - Proficiency in MS Office

- Excellent writing and presentation skills

- The candidate should have a working knowledge of basic econometric techniques - comfort with EViews (or any other econometric package) would be preferred

- Working knowledge of data sources such as Bloomberg and CEIC preferred
