Job Purpose & Key Accountabilities:

The Business Development Manager is to set up and run our efforts to market and sell our products in various geographies.

Key Responsibilities will include

i. Business Development: Build and expand customer base by identifying target buyers and approaching new buyers and buying houses & retail formats (in India and abroad). In effect Create channels & platforms for brand expansion and reach

ii. Marketing: Creating relevant, tactical & strategic partnerships & collaborations with like minded businesses for a synergy as well as Developing and expanding a database of Home textiles influencers like interior decorators, architects and designers

iii. Marketing tools; Create, explore and implement the same directly or through agencies

iv. Events : Ensure seamless participation in identified tradeshows/ events and successful execution and operations management

Additional Responsibilities:

v. Sampling and New Product Development: Coordinate sampling efforts for buyers with the Design team and Lead product development & Commercials Team and work out costs based on client requirements

vi. Order Management: Deliver Orders to Client as per order sheets signed.

vii. Order Processing

- Checking all the details in the order received form buyer.

- Communicate with buyer reg. any discrepancy in the order sheet.

- Passing the correct order sheet to relevant departments.

- Sending order confirmation to buyers

viii. Order Execution

- Follow up on order status and coordinate with buyer and production team to fulfill orders.

- Proactively making sure that all shipments are well-Traced /On-Time & maintaining the required/necessary quality parameters. To liaise with the logistics department internally and with the buyer to make sure that shipment bookings are done as per delivery schedule

Job Dimension:

- This position reports to the Project Lead /Chairman's Cell in charge of this project

- The position will co-ordinate closely with the finance team on business planning, budgeting & pricing & with the Advisory Board & Management on the vision and on the direction of the project

Qualifications & skills :

- Brand building / Sales & distribution / Business Development as core responsibilities

- Networking & Association building Experience: At least 2 years in business development in the home textile sector or any other lifestyle category may be an additional asset

- Knowledge of exporting to Western markets, USA, Europe, etc.

- Great communication skills.

- Good organizational & planning skills, ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.

- Target-oriented, self-motivated, leadership skills, good communication skills and effective in working with ambiguity.
