Business Development (B2B) - EdTech
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Actively approach targeted business clients including schools, colleges, universities and corporates via telephone, emails, social networks, events, etc. to get the first formal interaction to rightly introduce and position the company.
- Reach out to educational institutes, colleges or universities to build products in collaboration ranging from finance, accounting and short-term courses.
- Understand requirement of institutes for content development, delivery and /or any other deliverables in the area of content & delivery.
- Conduct market research (analyze competitors, efficiency of sales strategies, etc.) to build the stronger pipeline for B2B associations.
- Developing, pitching and closing small to large deals, eventually to achieve the expected targets.
- Conduct quarterly check-ins with existing/potential clients to evaluate service and promote workshops, training activities, new features and products which in turn helps in building the right relationships and service the client as per company standards.
- Acting as the relationship manager for the acquired clients and liaising with the departments internally for appropriate execution.
- Coordinating with the involved client POCs for matters relating to execution, invoicing, escalations, extended opportunities etc.
Candidate Skills and Experience:- Over 5-10 years of sales (B2B sales) growth and development with a background in Executive Education or having led a HR/L&D Consulting.
- Strong understanding of how to approach, position talent & leadership development conversations with University Principals, CHROs, L&D & HR professionals as well as Business/C-suite Executives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills - adept at developing, pitching and closing large deals. Gravitas to pitch to CXOs, CHROs, CLOs/L&D and government heads.
- Ability to develop and position winning proposals to clients.
- Generate leads via various verticals, cold calling clients and scheduling meetings. Build a robust pipeline of universities and corporates for growth.
- The person must have a strong understanding of the leadership & talent development landscape.
Education: Bachelor's degree and great to have master's degree
