Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will bring a proven track record in successfully leading business development activities. The prospective hire will have the experience and ability to provide attention to details, the ability to think beyond the transactional, and the ability to engage with the bigger picture and strategic thinking. The Business Development Manager will exhibit a blend of management, strategic thinking, and marketing skills.
We are looking for someone who :
- Proven track record in software services (Managed Services Portfolio or Similar)
- Able to develop strong relationships
- Identify appropriate target Market and opportunities for sales
- Maintaining a high volume of outreach to potential partners and clearly communicating to staff the BD opportunities pipeline.
- Managing and growing existing partnerships.
- Developing and organizing new business development initiatives.
- Reviewing prospects and outreach processes regularly, identifying gaps, and increasing efficiencies.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure proper messaging, implementation, and management of successful partnerships.
- Evaluating and optimizing BD goals on a quarterly basis.
- Reporting regularly to the management team on performance and goals (i.e. win rate; annual sales target).
- Maintaining accurate information in relevant databases, including those on corporate capacity.
- Establish conversations with key decision makers (Business Heads /CxOs/at par) via phone and e-mail and schedule appointments/conf calls and validate Leads
- Collaborate with Sales/Business Manager to determine necessary strategic sales approach and edit/improvise as required
- Post sales presentation follow-ups towards convincing prospects
- Keep sales tool updated with all prospect details and important notes
- Qualify marketing leads from social media, website etc., explain the services and schedule appointments/conf calls for Sales Manager
- Understand our service in depth and communicate the same to the potential clients
- Be abreast with changing trends and news that can be strategically used to create talking points for prospects
- To generate new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold-calls/emails.
- Stakeholder mapping in key industries/segments (account mapping).
- Identify and manage database of strategic clients via sales navigator and reach relevant stakeholder for appointment
- Team player and Individual contributor
- Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
- Good understanding of competitive software service environments
- Added advantage if worked with Cloud Services, Oracle & Microsoft Technology Service Lead Generation (Database & Middleware Management)
- Understanding of the Marketing Technology Vendor software services and market
- Expert in Office Tools like word and Excel
