Job Description.

A leading Indian distributor of multi-specialty chemicals company based in Mumbai seeking a Business Development Manager for Food Ingredients business.

Company Brief : The company has history of over 25 years and has over 75 employees across three verticals of Food Ingredients, Personal Ingredients and other Specialty Chemicals .

The company deals in over 325 products sourced from over 40 global suppliers and well established relationship with over 4000 clients across India.

Educational Requirement. Tech/M.Graduate with MBA or equivalent degree (with good Commercial experience).

Experience:

- 7-15 years of relevant industry experience preferably selling of food ingredients to industries such as bakery, confectionery, dairy, Nutritional supplements etc.

About The Role:

- The job entails developing/generating business for Food Ingredients products by implementing / executing strategies for growth through the product lines of leading principals we represent to achieve the division's objective & targets.

- Product Knowledge: Should know product application and customer base of following products: Cocoa Powder, Defoamers, Fat Powders, Lactose, Potato Starch, Preservatives, Fibers, Probiotics and Whey Powders.

Brief Description Of Duties.

- Responsible for achieving the division's sales & receivables targets.

- Keeping track of industry trends about market development, identifying new products, competitive activity, customers etc.

- Develop & maintain relations with customers including key accounts and strengthen existing relationships.

- Must consistently track the development of sales strategies and act resourcefully, to achieve. organizational goals and objectives.

- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop unique selling propositions and differentiators for products.

- Identify new business opportunities for products / Principals.

- Handle & guide a team of technocommercial professionals.

Skills Set/Area Of Expertise:

- Hands on experience on selling products such as Starches, Whey proteins, Cocoa powders, Yeast extract, Preservatives etc.

People Management Skills.

- Possess good communication & strategic prospecting skills.

- Sound analytical & problem-solving skills, good negotiation skills & growth mindset.

- Willing to travel extensively.

Preferred Experience:.

- Should have commercial experience of handling customers from food industries such as bakery, confectionery, dairy, ice cream etc would be an added advantage.

- Exposure in handling Key accounts as well as mid & small size customers.

- Experience in handling customers from different regions of India.

- Competency to identify new products/applications to grow the business.

- Skills: food industry,sales , business acquisition, business development, key account acquisition & retention, food technology.
