An interesting role has arisen with our client in the FMCG arena. Two critical things would be needed for this......deep understanding of the modern trade in preferably developed markets and a love of long haul flights ...reason being this role while based out of India would require you to manage the distributors in North America and Canada !
You would drive the business in these regions, look at new business opportunities and ensure that the distributor relationship is evolved to a higher level of strategic partnership. Acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the distribution landscape in the Indian ethnic channel and also relevant modern/mainstream trade in North America and develop geography and channel specific strategies towards achieving the growth objectives.
Work closely with the business head to identify and develop new product or positioning opportunities and fulfill these opportunities through new products or through improvisation of existing products.
Exploring and developing new business opportunities beyond the existing channels or products like private label business or targeting other ethnic/specialty channels. Work closely with cross functional teams to create a seamless flow of business and processes that are simple, robust and efficient.
We definitely would prefer candidates with experience in Modern Trade in developed markets or experience of manager exports. Can currently be based anywhere but must be open yo relocate to Bangalore.
