Currently we are looking for a "Business Development Manager - Commercial Sales" for a leading freight management MNC.

Job Location : Pune

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled Key Account Manager to target and close top accounts operating in India with significant volumes. The primary objective of this role is to approach and develop targeted accounts in alignment with the corporate sales strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a pipeline of potential clients, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities :

- Identify and build a pipeline of selected global accounts and large corporate clients.

- Maintain a target list based on national and regional approaches.

- Follow a structured sales approach, including scanning, probing, and building relationships with clients.

- Involve resources from various departments to support the sales process.

- Close accounts and onboard new clients.

- Set up standard operating procedures (SOP) and coordinate the implementation with internal stakeholders.

- Regularly review account growth in collaboration with operations.

- Achieve targeted key performance indicators (KPIs) in terms of volumes and profitability.

- Ensure a mutually agreed SOP is in place with clients within 15 days of onboarding.

- Take responsibility for collections as per agreed credit terms.

- Decision Making Authority: Exercise authorities delegated by the General Manager - Corporate Sales, following standards and guidelines.

Skills & Competencies:

- Ability to engage key stakeholders and drive their interest in the company.

- Skilled in navigating relationships with target clients and establishing contact with decision-makers.

- Proficient in adhering to defined sales approaches with persistence and business acumen.

Educational Background / Work Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of work experience.

- Experience in gathering and analyzing market data across various industries.

- Prior experience in an international company with a matrix organization.

- MBA or equivalent degree.

Language Skills:

- Fluent in English (written and spoken).

- Proficiency in other languages is preferred.

Computer Literacy:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, specifically Microsoft Dynamics.
