Role & Responsibilities
Market Research :
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics in the data and analytics domain.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients, partners, and emerging opportunities.
Client Identification and Engagement :
- Identify and target potential clients who would benefit from the company's data and analytics solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
Sales and Revenue Generation :
- Create and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop compelling proposals and presentations for clients.
- Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Product and Solution Knowledge :
- Possess a deep understanding of the company's data and analytics products and services.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of these offerings to clients and prospects.
Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with product development, marketing, and other teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure a clear understanding of client needs and effective solution delivery.
Strategic Planning :
- Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand the company's footprint in the data and analytics industry.
- Identify and assess potential partnerships, collaborations, and acquisition opportunities.
Sales Reporting and Analysis :
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.
- Analyze sales data to refine strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Proven experience of 8-10 years in business development or sales within the data and analytics domain.
- Strong understanding of data technologies, analytics solutions, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Preferred Skills :
- Familiarity with data visualization, data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Experience with enterprise-level sales and complex deal negotiations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing industry landscape.
