Position : Business Developer NIROnline
Location : Mumbai
Reporting to : General Manager
Job Purpose :
- Business Developer NIROnline (BDN) has the primary responsibility for increasing our market intelligence, market penetration, developing marketing strategies, pre- and after-sales support, technical and application support for NIROnline products. The BDN will liaise with sales, marketing, service, customer support and the corporate headquarters
Job Responsibilities :
- Be the reference/expert within company in NIROnline products as well as related process market.
- Development of marketing strategies, marketing concepts including digital media (web, e-mail, social media, portables) and traditional communication channels (flyers, door hangers etc.)
- Responsibility for pre/post-sale support to field sales team and customers through opportunity reviews, applications development demonstrations, calibrations, installations, and training
- Implementation of marketing plans in coordination with the GM, the Marketing Communicator and the Product Group Manager at the headquarters
- Execution of technical solutions such as seminars, workshops, webinars, applications papers, oral presentations, posters, on-site and web trainings
- Training sales, service and customer support in various aspects of the product line
- Act as liaison with PMs and application specialists at the corporate headquarters.
- Maintain close interaction with field sales team to review opportunities and assist in driving product sales
- Entry of all sales-related activities into company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Responsibility for trade shows and conferences including both content/presentation, oral and poster presentation
- Master enterprise resource planning (SAP) in terms of sales and quotation texts and pricing in coordination with sales and customer support
It is expected that the BDN will:
Develop marketing strategies by:
- Analyzing the market potential and current success
- Cooperate with other PMs to develop segment-oriented cross-selling strategies
- Interacting with the sales management to implement actions.
- Provide content for marketing materials
Interact with sales efforts by:
- Performing product demonstrations at customer site
- Carrying out customer feasibility evaluations, analyzing customer implementation plans, and presenting results in oral and/or written formats
- Organizing and presenting oral and poster sessions at scientific conferences and company sponsored webinars/seminars
- Preparing applications for demonstration of product strengths
- Participating in tradeshows and qualification of customers
- Reviewing sales quotes for technical content accuracy if needed
- Developing application notes in cooperation with the headquarters
Provide post-sales customer support by:
- Performing customer training at company offices, customer sites and remotely
- Developing customer methods
- Troubleshooting
- Update CRM records to reflect customer interactions
- Be available for up to 50-60% overnight travel including occasional international travel. This travel is a mix of back to back appointments as well as several weeks at a time in the office depending on demand.
Required Skills :
- BS/PG or higher degree in Chemistry or related science
- Work experience in Process and NIR
- 3-5 years work experience minimum
- Flair for marketing
- Strong organizational/time management skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- High functional level in MS-Office programs, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Dynamics
Preferred Additional Skills:
- MS in Chemistry or related science
- Minimum 3 years practical experience in a customer - related industry or in a similar applications position working with sales teams
