Designation: Business Data Analyst - Demand Planning  Reports to : Manager - Business Analytics  Location : Lennox India (Full time Salaried)  Job functions : Specific:  - Measure, analyse and create short, medium and long term forecasts, maximizing item level forecast accuracy to drive supply chain optimization  - Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results  - Experience/ ability to understand and work with multiple planning systems  - Coordinate across functional teams to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and other assumptions  - Provide input to the Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs through appropriate analytical techniques  - Develop analyses and schedules that become part of the Monthly reviews to the Senior Team  - Communicate information with the multiple stakeholders, attend regular meetings to determine information and reporting to help prepare/refine forecasts, understand results, and aid business in decision making  Job functions :   General :  - Understand requirements from the Stakeholders, analyse the data and provide or suggest suitable solutions by quickly grasping business processes  - Work on projects independently and has an ability to understand and solve problems  - Be able to consistently collect, interpret, analyse and present the data to Senior Management  - Act as liaison between IT and Business stake holders, identify automation requirements in the existing reporting/analytical projects and constantly work on optimizing the process  - Convert Business problems into Analytical problems and work across multiple analytical platforms (Excel, Tableau, Qlik, SQL, SAS, Teradata, Greenplum, Minitab, Python, etc...)  Qualification/Requirments :  - Bachelor's or Masters in the field of Computer Science, Statistics or Business Administration  - 3 to 6 years of experience in advanced forecasting/Analytical techniques, understanding of demand and supply concepts  - Strong knowledge on Quantitative and qualitative methods, Time series methods (Moving average, weighted moving average, exponential smoothing, ARIMA etc...), regression models (GLM, Multiple variable, linear or nonlinear, ARMAX)  - Expert level in MS Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)  - 1 or 2 years- experience with any one of the Analytical/visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Shiny etc...  - 3 or 4 years of experience in building Analytical/statistical models using any of the following R, Python, SAS, RapidMiner  - Understanding of basic database concepts, ability to handle large complex data sets, hands on experience in SQL, MS Access etc...  - Excellent written and oral communication skills, should be able to articulate analytical solutions or suggestions to senior management  Nice to Have :  - SAP experience - understanding of the ECC and the BW system  - Working knowledge of planning tools (SAP-APO, SO99)  - APICS or other forecasting certification
