Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our dynamic Business Continuity Team.
- As the Chief Business Continuity Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying our comprehensive Business Continuity (BC) programme, aimed at enhancing Danske Bank's Operational Resilience.
- You will be part of an esteemed global team comprising Business Continuity professionals based in Denmark and Lithuania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Implementation: Develop and enforce innovative methods to enhance the business continuity services at Danske Bank.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work autonomously to foster relationships, and coordinate BC-related activities with a broad network of stakeholders, including Senior Leadership.
- Process Management: Formulate, uphold, and oversee the business continuity protocols and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
- Training and Exercises: Organize and conduct Business Continuity related exercises to ensure preparedness and awareness across the organization.
- Analysis and Reporting: Support business units in the reporting, analysis, and evaluation of the Business Continuity programme's status to identify areas for improvement.
- Operational Tasks: Address and resolve day-to-day business continuity issues, maintaining smooth operational continuity.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in business continuity or a related field, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in Business Continuity (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) are considered an asset.

Mandatory skills:
- 7+ years of work experience in the field of business continuity, incl. expertise in developing and implementing methods and tools for performing Business Impact Analysis and developing Business Continuity Plans on different organizational levels.
- Extensive experience in organizing and conducting full-scale business continuity exercises (not IT Disaster Recovery tests).
- Knowledge of relevant international, incl. Nordic Europe and European Union, laws, regulations, and standards that govern business continuity planning and implementation.
Desired/ Secondary skills:
- Understanding of Crisis Management, IT Disaster Recovery and Operational Risk Management disciplines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying plans and procedures to stakeholders at all levels, incl.
Executive Leadership Team.
- Proven leadership skills to guide and motivate cross [1] functional teams involved in business continuity processes.
