Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements from both business and technical stakeholders and convert business use cases into stories for technical implementation
- Document and validate captured requirements through a formal statement of work.
- Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties
- Collaborate with necessary business and technical resources to determine proposed project level of effort estimates and obtain approval from project approvers.
- Maintain the project plan under the supervision of a project manager, identifying key milestones and tracking planned versus actual task start/stop dates to ensure the project stays on time and within budget.
- Collect and analyze the project's business requirements and transfer the same knowledge to the development team.
- Develop test cases to validate requirements against as-built design.
- Execute test cases and document the results, working with the development team to remediate identified defects.
- Review and/or prepare system documentation and specifications in accordance with methodology.
- Ability to lead internal teams.
- Defining the vision for the team's product and creating a product road map based on this vision
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Facilitate requirements prioritization based on business value.
- Manage changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes and tools.
- Manage specified project objectives, project constraints (scope, schedule, cost, quality, etc. ), project risk, and coordinate with project manager and other resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational requirements and business processes, including but not limited to, product life-cycle management, records management, and historical archiving and document development
- Facilitate and document key decisions made in project meetings and problem-solving sessions.
- Conduct a post-implementation review to ensure that all project goals were met and all activities completed.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives of various scale and priority levels across multiple lines of business.
- Participate in research/resolution of day-to-day production support items that arise as part of the normal course of business
Skills and Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of business analyst experience in Telecom domain (BSS/ OSS) and analytics is typically required.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and derive meaningful insights.
- Develop wire frames, workflows, use case diagrams, flowcharts, and other analysis-type documentation.
- Prepare impact analysis documents, recommendations, executive briefings.
- Intermediate SQL skills are essential for querying databases to extract and manipulate data.
- The candidate must be process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment.
- Perform industry research to clarify, define, or satisfy technology or business process issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration between teams.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology or computer science
Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio.
Knowledge of TMF preferred, especially for Leading a team and senior roles.
Understanding of Rest and SOAP based Web services.
- Work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards.
- Ability to work with Information Technology, Development, and Business users as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in other analytical tools and techniques, such as data visualization, statistical analysis and UML
- Proven ability to manage projects and user testing
- High proficiency in technical writing
- Have a very good understanding of agile methodologies.
- Good to be CSPO certified.
- Accomplished organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and leadership skills at all levels.
- The ability to think analytically, solve problems to complex business processes, and document results.
- Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment and client interfacing skills
- Understanding of Cloud architecture is preferrable.
- People management experience is preferrable
