Qualification - CA

Experience - 7+ years (Mining industry experience is mandatory)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join the dynamic team within the mining industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and a keen interest in leveraging data analytics to drive business insights and strategic decision-making. As a Business Analyst, the incumbent will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to optimize operational efficiency and profitability in the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate the performance of mining operations, including revenue, expenses, capital investments, and profitability.

- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future financial performance, assess investment opportunities, and support strategic planning initiatives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights, including production metrics, cost structures, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement monitoring systems to track and report on operational performance, highlighting areas for improvement and risk mitigation.

- Analyze market dynamics and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth, expansion, or diversification within the mining sector.

- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings, highlighting key metrics, and providing actionable recommendations.

- Support decision-making processes by providing financial analysis and scenario modelling for various strategic initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and cost optimization projects.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities using advanced analytics tools and technologies.

- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the mining sector, and recommend strategies to adapt and thrive in a dynamic business environment.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing expert guidance on financial matters, performance optimization strategies, and risk management practices.
