- Use Business Analysis tools and techniques to capture and clearly articulate the as-is business processes, identify problems and inefficiencies and define business requirements for process improvements
- Serve as a liaison with managers of line functions to identify, define and accurately document business requirements - Manage requirements and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that requirements are delivered as specified, and change impact assessments can be made
- Should transform business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Communicates clearly with all stakeholders and demonstrates an understanding of business processes and related issues. Develops multiple solutions options and can convey the merits and issues of each to ensure clear understanding of impact across the organization
- Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for integration, functional, performance and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, manage and escalate where appropriate project risks and issues associated to requirements gathering, analysis and design
- Design training and support documentation for new projects
- Ensure compliance with established guidelines for accurate and timely project delivery milestones
The Role Involves :
- Describe what the candidate will need to accomplish in the role by the end of year one (i.e. 1st year deliverables). For example, list 3-8 core tasks, initiatives and projects that the candidate will need to - get done- for his/her performance to be considered a - AAA- performance. This enables candidates to identify what success looks like for this role (bullet form recommended).
- Work closely with the liquidity reporting teams and related Finance Change and IT teams, and be involved in the execution of various initiatives planned as part of the Book of Work
Qualifications :
Required Skills :
- Domain knowledge/ experience of product control or financial accounting within investment banking - that is, should have been associated with the finance division of an investment bank in some capacity. Any exposure to liquidity reporting would be ideal.
- Change experience in above is preferred, however BAU/ line experience with change exposure is also fine
- If with change experience, it should as a Business Analyst in an SDLC environment (that is, should have acted as a bridge between Finance users and IT in a systems project), and not as a project manager or in a non-SDLC oriented change project
- As a business analyst or as an end user, should have been involved in functional testing and should be willing to be involved in functional testing in this role as well
- Any exposure to writing technical specifications would be of good advantage
- A decent understanding of the various investment bank trading products (equities, fixed income, repos, FX, OTC and exchange traded derivatives, loans, money markets etc) and the accounting related to these products is needed
