Business Analyst - Lending Domain

Responsibilities

Identifying and prioritizing business use cases - work with business-unit leaders to identify and prioritize problems that analytics is suited to solve.

- Collecting and preparing data - help identify the business data needed to produce the most useful insights. Understand the data sources and availability for model development.

- Building the analytics engine - ensure the solution solves the business problem in the most efficient and interpretable form for business users.

- Guiding the data scientist - help the data scientists to understand the business problem and design a suitable solution/ model to solve it.

- Validating and deriving business implications - synthesize complex analytics-derived insights into easy-to-understand, actionable recommendations that business users can easily extract and execute on.

- Implementing the solution and executing on insights - drive adoption among business users. Oversee the development of application to use the model and increase its adoption by internal marketing and incentives to the users.

Requirements Qualification -

- Tier 1 Institute Engineering, MBA/ PG in Economics from a reputed institute. Engineering in Information Technology is preferred.

Experience:

- 7-8 years of experience in a similar role with a leading commercial bank / NBFC in lending space is required, 2-3 Years as a team leader .

Domain, - good understanding of key operational metrics of the lending business and their impact on profit and loss, revenue, customer retention, and so on.

- Additionally, knowledge of common use cases (e.g., default predictions, segmentation etc.) in banking and lending space

- General technical fluency - must possess strong acumen in quantitative analytics and structured problem solving. While you do not need to build quantitative models, you do need to know what types of models are available (e.g., deep learning versus logistic regression) and to what business problems they can be applied.

- Knowledge of R/ SAS/ Pythons is preferred and good command over MS Excel will be very helpful in the role.

Presentation :

- should be good at verbal communication and presentations using MS Power Point Project-management skills - a mastery of process-management skills is necessary.

- You should be able to direct an analytics initiative from ideation through production and adoption and have an understanding of the life cycle of an analytics initiative and the common pitfalls. An entrepreneurial spirit

- You should have the enthusiasm, commitment, and business savviness to navigate the many technical, political, and organizational roadblocks that can emerge.
