BUSINESS ANALYST
Job Description:
Key Skills: RDBMS concepts, SQL, Python, Data Mapping / Data Governance, Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Gap Analysis, Agile / Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Stakeholder Management
Must-Have:
- 4-8 years of professional experience in a Business Analyst role (as a data analytics member, domain explorer, Business Intelligence or Data Analysis role that includes building data interpretation).
- BFSI Domain knowledge.
- Experienced in curating different documents like BRD, FRD, User Story, Test Plans
- Understanding and Defining stakeholder / business problems, requirements elicitation and requirement prioritization
- Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, SQL and Python
- Should have worked into Data Space project having conceptual understanding of Data Warehouse, Big Data, Dimensional Modeling, Big Data, Hadoop
- A good understanding of the best practices and business processes.
- Exposure of working in Agile framework.
- Strong business acumen with ability to identify and communicate trends and insights in a timely manner.
- Ability to build relationships and trust across Analytics user community.
- Must be able to integrate quickly into the team and work independently towards team goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior-level management regarding the implementation of changes.
- Competence in writing reports and making presentations to highlight the effect of changes you made.
- Tools: JIRA, Confluence
Good To Have:
- Knowledge of Data Visualization (Tableau / Power BI / Qlik)
- Exposure to Hadoop, Hive, ETL
- ESG domain knowledge
- Exposure of any cloud services like AWS or GCP or Azure.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Take complete responsibility for the sprint stories' execution.
- Must be having team leading skills and stakeholder management.
- Understand the business from the product / project stakeholders and help the development team understand the business flow and impact of the features being developed.
- Understand the business requirements and break the requirements into simpler stories and tasks and do the necessary mapping of the tasks to the logical model of the solutions.
- Mapping of business entities to technical attributes with the logic for transformation defined clearly.
- Be accountable for the delivery of the tasks in the defined timelines with good quality.
- Follow the processes for project execution and delivery.
- Follow agile methodology.
- Work with the team leads / clients closely and contribute towards the smooth delivery of the project.
- Understand / define the architecture and discuss the pros-cons of the same with the team.
- Involve in the brainstorming sessions and suggest improvements in the architecture/design.
- Working with other teams leads to getting the architecture/design reviewed.
- Keep all the stakeholders updated about the project/task status/risks/issues if there are any.
