Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first line operational support to Finance A/C team
- Provide SME inputs and assist to gather, analyse and document F&A business requirements for projects, system enhancements and system changes.
- Ensure a common approach to system solutions is applied in the EMEA region
- Create and maintain efficient communication channels between IT and Finance
- Interact effectively with IT and Finance to provide guidance for issue resolution
- Oversee operational support activities for various teams and ensure optimum quality of service to all internal customers by addressing any challenges or issues.
- Interact with relevant local IT teams as and when required to ensure timely delivery of required services and outputs
- Ensure the maintaince of proper user documentation, manuals, procedures and SOPs for respective systems/processes and provide support to the users as and when required; address any escalations promptly
- Provides inputs on controls by identifying problems or potential issues; ensure system requirements and outputs comply with audit requirements for IAD, SOX and External Audit
- Effective interaction with the IT teams to guarantee data transit from front to back end systems.
- Maintain daily error analysis to support monthly front to back reconciliations. Identify, ticket and triage issues to an end resolution in line with business timelines. Providing SME support for any issue resolution and IST cycles necessary - ultimately providing operational sign off for QA testing.
- Continually seek process improvement by actively analysing and identifying impact of change to businesses, information flow and system chain
- Support any audit requests and adhere to audit requirements for IAD, SOX and External Audit
Key Capabilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to translate business needs to system requirements
- Ability to pro-actively resolve issues
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of MS office and MS SQL
- Strong track record of project delivery
- Strong customer focus and cultural awareness to operate in a complex, multi-country environment
- Strong reconciliation and presentation skills
Key Experience:
- Educated to a degree level or a similar professional qualification
- Strong track record of delivery within a financial services organization
- Experience of business analysis, process analysis and gap analysis
- Fluent English and preferably other local language
- Project management experience
- Financial systems experience essential.
- Insurance knowledge and experience highly desirable
- Reinsurance knowledge and experience desirable
