Job Description: Duck Creek Policy Business Analyst
Position Summary:
The Duck Creek Policy Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, processes, and systems to enhance the use of Duck Creek Technologies' policy administration solutions. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and ensure the successful implementation of Duck Creek Policy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to understand business needs and objectives.
Business Process Analysis:
- Analyze and document current business processes and workflows.
- Identify areas for improvement and optimization within the policy administration process.
Solution Design:
- Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Assist in the design and configuration of Duck Creek Policy solutions to meet business needs.
Implementation Support:
- Provide support during the implementation of Duck Creek Policy solutions.
- Assist with system testing, including writing test cases and performing user acceptance testing (UAT).
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and system specifications.
- Develop training materials and user guides for end-users.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with Duck Creek Technologies' product updates and industry trends.
- Recommend best practices and innovative solutions to improve policy administration processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of Duck Creek Policy solutions and policy administration systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and reports.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other Duck Creek modules (e.g., Claims, Billing).
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA).
- Familiarity with SQL and database management.
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and standards.
Work Environment:
- The position may require occasional travel.
- Remote work flexibility may be available depending on the company's policies.
