Business Analyst/Data Scientist - IT - IIM/MDI/FMS/ISB

We are looking for a passionate Data scientist for our Business Analyst - Pricing position. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

Job Duties and responsibilities :

- The Business analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis including data gathering and cleansing, deep dive advanced statistical analysis/modeling and recommendations to optimize performance of pricing strategies and tactics.

- The Senior Analyst will also support our sales teams operationally through deal support, data gathering through custom dashboard/reports development and analysis.

- The role primary goal will be to help establishing the newly introduced strategic pricing function within CVENT by interpreting complex data sets, build pricing/value models through advanced statistical techniques and provide recommendations and reporting.

- Experience in analyzing very large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets.

- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

- Support the development of advanced pricing tools and analytics

Requirements :

- Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL), advanced Excel, pricing and value models, regressions, applied pricing and economics principles, yield management concepts and tools, reporting and BI solutions (Tableau, etc)

- Understanding of pricing fundamentals and competitive monitoring is a plus

- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive adoption of new initiative and drive them to completion within agreed timelines

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills - working with teams & internal clients

- Ability to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines

Qualifications :

- BS in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or business.

- Demonstrated strong working experience with Excel, SQL and BI tools reporting (ie: Tableau)

- 3+ years relevant working experience

- Business consulting and/or Pricing experience for a SaaS company will be very beneficial but not required.

- Demonstrated strong working experience with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc) and Excel modeling is required. Use of advanced BI tools is a strong plus.

- Ability to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines

- Experience developing presentations for various audience levels within an organization

- Excellent written / oral communication skills
