Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our fast-growing construction startup. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business operations, developing insights, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve processes, efficiency, and decision-making. A strong command of Excel and Google Sheets is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to provide insights into business performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Financial Analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling using Excel and Google Sheets to help the team make informed financial decisions.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current business processes and propose actionable improvements to optimize operations and resource allocation.
- Market Research & Trend Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to help the company stay ahead of industry trends and make strategic decisions.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Excel and Google Sheets for easy visualization of key performance indicators (KPIs) and project progress.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior management to gather requirements, analyze project data, and provide business insights that enhance decision-making.
- Documentation & Presentations: Prepare and present findings, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Risk Analysis: Assist in identifying potential risks related to projects or operations and suggest mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the construction or related industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
Mandatory Skills:
Excel: Proficient in creating complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, charts, formulas, and financial models.
Google Sheets: Strong knowledge of Google Sheets for real-time data analysis, collaboration, and reporting.
Preferred (Added Advantage) Skills:
- Knowledge of project management tools and software commonly used in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting within construction startups or related industries.
