Business Analyst - BFSI

Job Description:

As a Business Analyst you will play a critical role in facilitating change management initiatives and optimizing processes within the capital markets and investment banking domain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and implement improvements to enhance our operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and drive strategic growth. Key Responsibilities:

1. Capital Markets Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of capital markets and investment banking to provide valuable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

2. Change Management: Lead and support change management efforts by identifying areas for improvement, assessing impacts, and developing strategies to ensure smooth transitions.

3. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business units to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

4. Data Analysis: Analyze complex financial data and market trends to support decision-making processes and provide data-driven recommendations.

5. Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in existing workflows and develop solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.

6. Project Management: Take ownership of projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

7. Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior management.

8. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and assist in developing strategies to mitigate operational and compliance risks.

9. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, requirements, and project progress.

10. Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance testing to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).

- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets/investment banking.

- Strong understanding of financial instruments, trading, and investment products.

- Proven track record in change management and process improvement initiatives.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the capital markets sector is advantageous.
