Responsibilities
- Develop subject matter expertise on respective functional domain: finance, risk and regulatory processes
- Partner with business functions to gather business requirement, Create requirement documents, identify and document current and future data flow in and around the systems
- Understand the data elements associated with functions and their utilization that drives business decisions
- Drive design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution
- Develop, maintain and enhance Epics, stories, testing standards, processes in an AGILE environment
- Able to conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested by user group
- Facilitate the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of business intelligence or canned reporting framework for finance, risk and regulatory processes
- Customer focused, team driven mentality; serving as role model for colleagues, coaching and motivating team members to make needed adjustments in plans to meet milestones and to achieve goals.
Education and Experience
- 6 - 8 years- experience as a business Analyst or BI Analyst in a data-centric project environment.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Science/Finance/Engineering.
- Understanding of Risk and Regulatory business functions such as Counterparty management, limit management, Regulatory Reporting, PD.
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints.
- Experience with both traditional Waterfall SDLC and Agile.
- Placing high value on accuracy; diligent about upholding control points and procedures in the Software development
Skills/ Knowledge
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and to liaise with and influence senior subject matter experts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), PL/SQL
- Experience in BI tools: spotfire, Cognos
- Flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities in an Agile and informal setting.
