Position Responsibilities:
- InvesTier is a web-based hedge fund and fund-of-funds investor accounting system.
Reporting to the Product Manager, the Business Analyst performs a key liaison role between the technology and business areas of the organization.
- In this capacity, qualified candidates maintain a deep, intimate knowledge of the product they champion and assist in optimal knowledge transfer of business requirements to technology implementations of same.
- The Business Analyst is a key, high-visibility position where individuals engage InvesTier clients, Customer Support, Technology personnel and management and is responsible for all facets of business requirements specification and user documentation (both on-line and printed form).
This position requires the individual to have a high degree of skills and experience using Agile/SCRUM methodology and is frequently required to perform the role of SCRUM lead/master.
Position Requirements
A qualified candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in most of the following areas:
- Agile/SCRUM skills - user story creation, feature burn-down tracking, etc.
- Chair and participate in business requirements gathering sessions involving all stakeholders
- Authors and maintains Business Requirements and Functional specifications
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills for this highly visible position requiring frequent, very articulate communication
- Business Analyst resource for the technology team - as a product champion, insures optimal transfer of business requirements and terms to help insure successful product implementations against requirements.
- As a subject matter expert, assists in educating technology personnel with business-related information needed for optimal design and development of product
- Authors and maintains release notes and On-line Help documentation
- Proven experience in Product Management/Business Analysis in the financial services industry (either a financial technology provider or a financial services company)
- Knowledge and understanding of Investment and Partnership Accounting
- Knowledge of Partnership and Hedge Fund Tax Allocations a plus
- Frequently participates in functional test activities
- Fluent with Office Productivity Tools (Word, Excel, Access, Project and Visio) and Help authoring tools
Work Ethic/Style:

- Detail oriented
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Available for some travel
