Business Analyst

The successful candidate will be required to provide Level 2 support for interface related enquiries, and provide strong analytical input when the resolution requires a development change.

- The candidate needs to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and a 'take charge' attitude and ensure that problems are solved in a timely manner and that status updates and resolution details are communicated appropriately. It is important that the candidate has an interest and at least a basic understanding of the investment management lifecycle or a desire to learn this.

- Effective time management and the ability to work on multiple issues concurrently is critical.

- The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Other key skills include: listening to business stakeholders and technologists to appreciate the business process and technical architecture, keeping documentation up to date, understanding and resolving data issues, and working closely with the global AI team to successfully close out the request.

Responsibility:

- 2+ years data analysis and specification writing

- Excellent problem solving skills

- Hands-on experience performing detailed business analysis and requirements specifications

- Financial knowledge and interest strongly recommended, but not essential

- Strong teamwork, communication and time management abilities

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

- Working knowledge of scheduling utilities like Autosys / ControlM

- Excellent database skills (preferably SYBASE), including understanding of data modeling, and ability to write structured, optimized SQL queries.

Skills/ Qualification:

- Manage the issue tracking queue and provide Level 2 support for all interface related enquiries

- Manage the Business As Usual (BAU) pipeline for all interface configuration changes and small to medium sized enhancement requests

- Work closely with more experienced members of the interface team to understand interface enhancement requirements, and translates these into written specifications for interface development

- Work with AI Product and BAU Developers to test and implement required interface enhancements

- Write comprehensive test plans and executes test cases for interfaces in UAT and monitors all regression-test results across clients

- Prepare Release Packets and release notes for release approval and deployment

- Able to understand and explain the business context and driver for all changes

Sample tasks include:

- Map our trade and position XML to Institutional Client Business client’s format

Knowledge/ Experience:

- Degree in Finance or Computer Science or related field required
