Job Description: Data/Business Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data analysis, coupled with strategic business acumen.

This role involves:

Leading end-to-end data-driven projects

Transforming raw data into actionable insights

Developing impactful dashboards and advanced analyses

Collaborating with cross-functional teams

Providing strategic recommendations to drive business growth and efficiency

Creating technical documentation and conducting root cause analyses to support engineering teams

This role is critical in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

Lead end-to-end data analysis projects, from defining project scope and objectives to delivering final reports and presentations.

Coordinate with product managers, data engineers, and business leaders to understand data needs and deliver on expectations.

Document and capture use cases, business logic, and rules for assigned data domains (fan, marketing, etc.).

Work with Data Analysts and Data Product Owners across domains to ensure alignment across the entire data platform.

Gather and capture technical specifications for integrating various data sources into models.

Collaborate with internal and external partners/vendors to define integration methods and patterns.

Ensure specifications cover data validation, standardization, curation, and reporting for relevant use cases.

Define and capture fulfillment requirements such as outbound data deliveries, reporting, and metrics.

Manage ad-hoc requests in parallel with ongoing sprints.

Work with teams to execute sound solutions that meet business expectations efficiently.

Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Data Governance, and QA to build and review pipelines, data ingestion, storage, wrangling, cataloging, quality, and curation.

Assist Data Product Owners in managing and delivering the technical roadmap for the data platform.

Work with Scrum and Agile Methodologies to coordinate global delivery teams, run scrum ceremonies, manage backlog items, and handle escalations.

Required Skill Sets:

Prior exposure to Data Ingestion and Curation (e.g., working with Data Lakehouse).

Strong understanding of data analysis/data investigation (using SQL, Excel).

Well-versed in Stakeholder Management.

Ability to support Data Product Owners in managing the technical roadmap for the data platform.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

- MBA / Bachelor's degree from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 business school

OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience leading data analysis projects

OR Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline

Additional Skills:

Comfortable with decision-making and leadership.

Familiar with version control and relational databases.
