Job Summary:

Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Manager to oversee all legal and compliance matters of the organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring legal adherence in business operations, handling contracts, and mitigating risks associated with the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to business operations, vendors, partnerships, and employment.

- Ensure compliance with corporate, labor, and regulatory laws, including FSSAI, GST, Excise, and other hospitality-related regulations.

- Provide legal advice on business operations, risk management, and policy formulation.

- Handle disputes, litigations, and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines to minimize legal risks.

- Conduct due diligence on legal matters, including leases, licensing, intellectual property rights, and trademarks.

- Stay updated with legal developments and advise management on necessary policy or operational changes.

- Support HR in labor law compliance, employment contracts, and grievance redressal.

- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth business operations.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM).

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in the hospitality, retail, or F&B industry.

- Strong knowledge of corporate laws, labor laws, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.

- Experience in handling contracts, disputes, and litigation matters.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Proficiency in legal research and documentation.
