Responsible for Regional Logistics Management especially in the area of Secondary Transportation & Warehousing. Driving highest level of cost efficiencies with grater customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

Education : Graduation/ Post Graduation in Management / Supply chain from a institute of repute e.g. SP Jain, NITIE etc.

Experience : At least 7-8 years experience in planning and logistics with at least 3+ years in logistics in a major FMCG industry. Incase of MBA from premier management school 4-5 years of work experience is acceptable.

Key Responsibilities :

- Secondary Freight Management

- Responsible for Managing Secondary Transportation (Depot to Distributors) single handy & drive efficiencies across locations.

- Route planning & selection of right truck type

- Secondary Transportation rate negotiation, vendor development, finalization of agreements etc.

- Tracking Rs./Kg. cost Vs. Budget and against last year and drive reduction on that.

- Monitoring Vehicle Utilization on daily basis and driving 80% + utilization across locations.

- Driving Performance metrics e.g. Indent Vs Placement, Truck Utilization, Transit Time Adherence, Shortage/ Damages Index, Adherence of 2nd trip etc.

- Implementation of alternate way of working e.g. Dedicated Trucking Operation.

- Maintenance of Secondary Transportation Master Data, Freight Rates, Routes, Distance etc.

- Driving Central Replenishment agenda across Secondary Transportation & Warehousing areas & achieve best in class cost efficiencies with highest level of service targets.

Warehouse Management & Customer Service:

- Warehouse Cost Management, selection of warehouses, negotiation of C & F expenses etc.

- Management of overheads at warehouses & detentions

- Driving Depot Operational efficiencies to manage high throughput, fastest truck turn around time, labor efficiencies etc.

- Managing Demand Fulfillment for all channels i.e. MT, ACD, GT,CSD & Cross Promo customers

- Monitor obsolescence at Depots and trigger stakeholders to take necessary actions to avoid finished goods write off

- Execute Depot SOPs and put in controls to ensure compliance

- Design and implement Depot Payment structure, Depot Audits.

- Driving PDP compliances, Implementation of CRSE

- Driving 90% + Fill Rates for all SKUs.

- Drive & motivate CSOs and Warehouse Representatives to achieve highest level of service metrics.

- Drive & monitor best practices across all warehouses in the region.

Create & Manage Budgets:

Preparation of Secondary Freight & Warehousing Budget and align Central Team with that.

Other Responsibilities:

- Inventory policy management: Provide the transit time from the source point to the depot concerned to arrive at the Inventory Norms of FGs at the depots.

- Accounting & Period Closing: Close wrong SITs in SAP along with Finance to ensure timely period closure.

- Depot Closure: Inform secondary transporters concerned regarding CP closure and the date of closure; block Route Codes, freight rates in SAP from various factories to closed depot; plan & monitor transportation of FGs, POPs, V-SAT etc, out of the closed depot.
