ROLE Head, Digital Sourcing & Procurement (DiSP) Practice
TITLE Director
JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Head, DiSP Practice would lead the DiSP Practice and head a business of about $50 million and a skilled team of about 500 professionals.
As a Practice Head, your responsibility will be to define the practice vision and growth strategy and then put in place operational plans to execute and monitor - the same.
- The long-term goals of the Practice Head would be to build upon the existing successes, grow the Practice in line with business goals and transform it to a full-fledged Business Unit.
Your key areas of responsibilities will include :
Offerings & Solutions : Conceptualizing, incubating, taking to market and maturing LOB-specific, business-value driven solutions that address tangible whitespaces in the market and help to keep us continuously relevant to our customers and that promote the Bristlecone brand and positioning
Demand Generation Support : Supporting other organizational entities, including the Sales organization, to help build up a healthy pipeline for our Solutions and Services
Presales & Solutioning : Responding to opportunities, both proactive and reactive, with winning solutions that help drive our business and value growth
Resource Management : Ensuring effective management of practice resources to ensure optimal utilization, effective servicing of upcoming opportunities with an overall focus on cost consciousness
Competency & Capability Development : Ensuring continuous evolution of capability to deliver solutions and services within the Line of Business (LoB), in line with relevant business and technology trends
Talent Engagement : Ensuring the practice team of skilled practitioners is aligned with and committed to the organizational and practice vision, and fully engaged to respond to our customer requirements of today, tomorrow and beyond
QUALIFICATIONS 15+ years of high-quality Sourcing & Procurement experience with a strong grounding in core functional experience, coupled with an equally strong experience in delivering technology-based solutions for the Procurement LoB. You should be a thought leader in the Procurement space, someone who easily commands the respect of customer CPOs. You should be intimately aware of the current and future challenges our customers face in this space and have a strong streak of innovation as part of your core DNA.
Specifically, you should have :
- At least 5 years of functional experience in an appropriate function in Procurement. This gives you the foundation to appreciate the nuances and challenges of the Procurement LoB, allows customers to instantly relate to you and helps you understand the real problems and issues and thus delivery optimally targeted solutions for the same
- Strong knowledge of core Procurement concepts and principles and an intimate understanding of current trends in this area
- Proven experience of having worked delivering business applications-based solutions (SAP, Oracle, etc.) for the Procurement LoB
- Excellent customer handling skills and the ability to win customers trust and confidence based on your expertise in the Procurement area
- Experience in driving the creation of IT-based solutions for Procurement
- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities
- Good experience in leading and managing large teams, especially those that are geographically distributed
- Uncompromising attitude towards achieving results and an infectious level of energy
Additional preferable qualifications:
- Experience in working with distributed delivery frameworks
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Graduate in Engineering (any discipline) with a post-graduation in Business Administration
