Brick&Bolt - Category Head - Supply Chain

About the Role:

The Head of Category and Supply Chain Management (SCM) will be responsible for driving the strategy, planning, and execution of category management, procurement, and supply chain operations. This role involves leading a team to optimize product sourcing, inventory management, and distribution while ensuring that category growth aligns with company goals.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement category strategies that drive growth, profitability, and market share.

- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for category building & expansion.

- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create and execute promotional activities.

- Manage relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.

- Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.

- Ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement strategies that meet demand forecasts and reduce lead times.

- Optimize inventory levels to balance supply with customer demand while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, logistics partners, and service providers.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category and supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.

- Lead the development of annual operating plans, budgets, and forecasts for the category and supply chain functions.

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in category performance and supply chain efficiency.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.

- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and performance.

- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, and regulatory changes.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in procurement and supply chain activities.
