COMPANY: A leading multinational FMCG organization

POSITION: Brand Manager

LOCATION: Mumbai

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

- Independently drive top line growth for the brand/selected part of the portfolio

- Development of marketing strategy / brand road map – annual brand plans

- Achieve market share in line with company objective.

- Deliver at least 2 successful campaigns per year

- Develop the media/digital/PR strategy for the brand

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

- Reporting to Sr. Brand Manager/Category Manager

- Supervises Brand Executive

- Other functional departments, Advertising agency, Media agency, Research agency, Representatives from media and entertainment industry, Local and global vendors.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop strategic understanding of brand’s performance and equity drivers to deliver robust growths year on year

- Develop annual brand plans and dynamically fine tune quarterly plans to drive growths on the brand

- Leverage Nielsen and consumer panels to identify the levers of growth

- Develop consumer understanding to deepen brand’s relevance and strengthen its position in the relevant identified need state

- Teasing out relevant insights to develop new communication platforms for the brand

- Scanning the external environment to leverage new emerging consumer trends

- Supporting the communication development on the brand

- Develop shopper and customer understanding to maximize conversion from awareness to trials in store

- Put in place the plannogramming approach

- Developing relevant experience models to engage the shopper

- Optimize the media mix driving awareness as well as consumer engagement

- Developing the digital/PR strategy on the brands

- Deep dive on the 24 hr clock journey of the bulls eye TG to develop the media strategy

- Putting in place media principles for the brand communication agenda

- Developing the promotion strategy and the identifying the key promotions to run on the brand

- Supporting the sr. brand manager/ category manager on developing and commercializing innovation pipeline for 3-5 year horizon

- Deploying and monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the budgets

- Manage Key Relationships

- Build strong relationship and foster teamwork among agencies, suppliers and extended team to achieve maximum performance

- Talent development

- Develop self and Reportee to meet growth challenges

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

- MBA from Premier B school

- Preferably 2007/2008 passouts

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

- FMCG Brand Management Exposure

- Sales Experience prior to marketing an added advantage.

- Minimum 5-6 yrs experience
