Branch Commercial Manager - CA - FMCG

We are seeking to Identify Branch Commercial Manager (South - Leading US FMCG company.

Organisation - Leading US FMCG company. Famous for our iconic brands on five continents, provides delicious, nutritious and convenient foods for families in 200 countries around the world.

Position - Branch Commercial Manager

Location- Chennai

Candidate's Profile - Looking for CA/ICWA post qualification min 5 yrs exp in Commercial Finance in FMCG or Consumer Durable industry.

Role-

1. Primary responsibility for the Branch commercial activities and statutory compliances for the respective branch

Responsible for Trade Spends and Claims.

- Analysis of Trade spends and tracking the benefits of the same

- Liaise with Third Party Agencies (TPA) for expediting the claims settlement and to ensure claim submissions on time

- Liaise with customers for obtaining No Dues Certificate (NDC)

- Ensure compliance on GAAP requirements on Deals & Allowances (D&A) expenses and Trade spends, and ensure that the provisions are accurate

Responsible for Customer Management

- Ensure that new customers are appointed and inducted as per the norms laid out by the company

- Responsible for renewals of customer agreements

- Responsible to ensure that the full and final settlement is completed on a timely manner

- To calculate and authenticate the customers ROI

Complete accountability for the Distributor Management System (IRIS)

- Ensure installation of IRIS for new customers

- Ensure 100% invoicing, claim settlement and synchronization with IRIS

- Responsible for monitoring Sales & Distribution (S&D) costs as per defined AOP levels and implementing various cost saving ideas agreed upon at the beginning of the year

- Liaise with State Government authorities for improving VAT structure for company's products

- Benchmark with peer companies for VAT rates

- Oversee timely completion of Sales Tax assessments/VAT audits

- Ensure compliance of all statutory procedures for the branch and third parties

- Responsible for management of accounts for all Modern Trade Accounts based out of the region

- Liaise with the External / Internal Auditors to ensure GAAP compliance, completion of audits and implementation of various audit recommendations

- Oversee {administratively} the branch accounting and reporting function including monthly closing

- Generate MIS reports, analyze these and advise branch team on course corrections

Requisite - CA post qualification minimum 5 years exp in Branch Account or Sales Accounting with a manufacturing industry.
