WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The overall objective of the role is to be a key player in supporting the execution of Predictability, Teaming and Open Communication (PTO) and rollout of Teaming@BCG within India. Both of these are priority initiatives for the People Team, with goals to raise the level of case excellence, enhance case experience across our consulting teams, and drive a change management journey to deliver lasting transformational impact to our teams across locations in India.
This position was established to ensure that PTO is embedded within the BCG India working culture and provides the highest possible value to BCG case teams, and taken to the next level as part of the global BCG transformation of PTO towards "Teaming" The Coach will work directly with case teams to facilitate teaming discussions, as well as work closely with the Teaming@BCG team, as well as the regional and global Teaming@BCG teams to further develop, professionalise, and promote the Teaming@BCG model for India.
1. Strategy & planning:
- Partner with IND Teaming@BCG Manager to conceptualise, develop and implement strategic initiatives to further enhance Teaming@BCG in India
- Support implementation of initiatives driven at regional level, and collaborate with other functions to support initiative implementation where relevant (e.g., working with Learning & Development function to embed Teaming@BCG trainings into consulting training curriculum)
- Collaborate with and guide a strong cadre of Teaming@BCG Coaches so that they are supported to execute in their roles and enable the transformational change envisioned
2. Teaming@BCG coaching of case teams:
- Conduct early engagement of case leadership to identify risks and potential areas of Teaming@BCG adoption on case
- Coach case teams on adopting tangible Teaming@BCG methods to improve case team experience, while acting as a trusted thought partner with case leadership
- Conduct 1-on-1 and team coaching for selected case teams to develop deep understanding of case dynamics, best practices, challenges and uncover root causes
- Effectively coach team to develop / self-discover actionable solutions to issues
- Engage case MDP and leadership to highlight issues and agree on intervention model
- Escalate particularly challenging situations with senior management team (e.g., Teaming@BCG MDP, People Chair, System Leader) and ensure effective follow up and case resolution
3. Program operations:
- Analyse results of weekly Teaming@BCG survey to track and report key performance metrics, identify cases requiring intervention, follow-up to ensure they are engaged in a timely manner and provide relevant updates to management team

- Coordinate and work with other Teaming@BCG coaches to ensure sufficient case coverage
- Develop enhancements to and maintain repository of Teaming@BCG tools and best practices (e.g., Teaming@BCG kick-off pack) on the ask, manage BCG microsite and ensure application across cases
- Rollout various initiatives to drive Teaming@BCG awareness and adoption (e.g., office roadshows, quizzes, upskilling sessions, mentoring programs )
Learning & Development:
Support key training programs for consulting teams (e.g., Consulting Starter, Consulting Foundations), providing training where required.
YOU'RE GOOD AT:
- Senior presence, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills; strong PowerPoint skills
- Influencing and networking skills; ability to work and connect with multi-stakeholders - MDPs, Case Team Leadership, Case Teams, People Function Leads (e.g., Staffing, Learning & Development, etc.)
- Sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style
- Excellent project management skills, highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with virtual teams
- Team player, highly motivated, proactive, strong ownership, resourceful and friendly
- Convey a strong positive image with high standards of professional behaviour and ethics
YOU BRING:
- Degree at minimum, any field
- Approximately 8-12 years in consulting background, preferably with some case team management experience
- BCG experience at Project Leader level and above preferred; previous experience as a PTO Coach an advantage but not required
YOU'LL WORK WITH:
IND Teaming@BCG Manager, IND Teaming@BCG MDP, Teaming@BCG Coaches, MDPs and Consulting teams, IND People Team and Asia Pacific NGWOW Team. You will be part of the IND People Team.
