POSITION SUMMARY :

The Account Strategist in VS is responsible for

- Being a Design thought partner for the consulting team - Leverages visual story-telling and develops creative ideas and concepts to meet the client's objectives

- Manage high priority proposals and cases, ideally from the beginning of the case, to act as thought partner and collaborate chose the format, to translate complex information into simple, insightful and clear messages using high end graphics and digital media.

- Oversee the production process, across multiple verticals, drawing on specialists in the design centers to create the desired outputs.

- Support in the roll-out of new BCG template format globally (Visual Communications Transformation project)

- Coach and review of consultant-produced presentations when requested

- Working to a brief agreed with the client teams and in compliance with BCG standards

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Develop an understanding of the client's business environment and strategy and build the relationship with the client.

- Collaborate with our team to define project objectives, set key performance metrics, and establish project approach.

- Conduct research, stakeholder interviews, brainstorming sessions on creative and digital engagements.

- Oversee audience research activities (in conjunction with client or 3rd party) research teams and generate account reports on both periodic and adhoc basis.

- Perform competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities in the marketplace.

- Assemble strategic insights into presentation materials for mid and senior level clients. Assist in creating account strategy plans to meet business objectives.

- Analyze and resolve account problems/issues. Respond to customer requests and inquiries in a professional and timely manner

- Keep abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies, and companies that are changing our client's businesses.

- Act as an internal resource, championing our content / storytelling / digital innovation whenever possible.

- Lead or collaborate client engagements on a day to day basis and manage consulting engagements and client deliverables within defined scope, timeline and budget.

- Be able to lead executive / expert interviews and client presentations. Execute customer communications - personal and via telephone or email, in line with standards and processes

- Select appropriate frameworks, tools and approaches to use in solving client problems.

- Demonstrate domain knowledge and expertise in a range of skills, such as creative and design thinking, business model development, financial modeling, content planning, product portfolio planning, organizational strategy, channel and go-to-market models, customer / market research etc.

- Develop sales strategies to meet marketing objectives.

- Analyze online campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvements.

- Contribute to business development and thought leadership activities. Eventually lead a team of account managers

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

- Bachelors' Degree in graphics design, marketing or related field preferred

- 6+ years experience in project management in a creative MNC/Professional services environment

KEY COMPETENCIES

- Knowledge of visual design visual theory (i.e., composition, color theory, typography etc.)

- Account Management/Client Management experience

- Background in design and design thinking principles

- Understanding of creative output channels (print, digital, video, etc.)

- Strong affinity for current technological topics and trends in the areas of new and traditional media

- B2B experience, deep business language knowledge and experience in a professional services environment

- Demonstrates excellent collaboration skills, a solution-based attitude, and the ability to work with people with diverse skills and backgrounds

- Ability to flex approach from a design and working style perspective depending on project and client needs

- Consistent willingness to go above and beyond for project deliverables, as well as one's own development

- Sharp eye for layout design and awareness of design trends

- Excellent time management skills

- Thrives in an environment of continual feedback

- Ability to develop project from creative conception to final deliverable

- Ability to work independently and prioritize under narrow time limitations and/or with interruptions, to produce accurate results within quick turnaround times

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas

- Handle stressful situations with poise, understanding and tact

- Actively listens, requests clarification when needed with an exceptional attention to detail

- Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment

- Interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business; in keeping with BCG's values and culture.

- Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential.

- Ability to understand and manage complex reporting relationships and incorporate multiple cultures

- Work related travel would be required.
