Boloo - Co-Founder/CTO - IIT/NIT/IIIT/BITS

Position: Co founder & Head of Technology.

About Boloo:

At Boloo, we're creating a community-building platform for the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of India. The projects on our plate are pretty amazing & we- re looking for talented people, who strive to make things happen, to join us and meet the exciting challenges we- re working on. You- ll be working with the former founder & AVP of MakeMyTrip who also happen to be the co founders of Truly Madly - India's leading dating app.

We- re currently looking for a Co-founder to lead Technology & Engineering at Boloo who can provide technical leadership and training for the rest of the company. The ideal applicant will have an organized and creative mindset that drives him or her to find innovative solutions to a myriad problems and establish a technical vision for the company. As the HoT, you will:

- Work closely with senior management to ensure Boloo's technology requirements are always fulfilled; particularly strong collaboration with product team required.

- Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions

- Drive the medium and long-term technology vision of the company through leadership, innovation and creativity

- Lead design discussions and spearhead projects to increase Boloo's market reach and improve & work on creating current and new USPs

- Ensure that Boloo's core technology infrastructure scales in line with business requirements;

- Liaise with relevant outside stakeholders and evangelize company's core technology efforts to promote Boloo's tech brand in broader startup community

- Create a vibrant engineering culture focused on ownership, accountability, assertiveness, collaboration, and curiosity

Basic Qualifications:

- CS or ECE degree from a premier college (IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS etc.)

- 3 - 5 years- experience in app development & related tech (iOS, Android etc.)

- Proficient in data structures and algorithms

- Understanding of various technology stacks like LAMP, Node.js etc.

- Prior experience in mobile app development is a plus (Android or iOS)

- Ability to clearly and quickly convert business problems into technology driven innovative solutions

- Strong understanding of upcoming technologies that can add value across the stack

- Comfortable working in a lean environment & executing product goals within timelines

- Hands on leader who's comfortable coding, providing code reviews, and leading complex architectural design discussions in team setting
