Job Description :

- There is an opening for an International locally hired Logistics Data Management specialist in support of the India C-17 program at Indian Air Force base at Hindon, India.

- This position requires the successful applicant to deal directly with military customer personnel on a daily basis.

- The applicant must demonstrate the ability to adapt to a different culture environment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- The applicant will verify that the customer's aircraft related logistics data management records received meet documented regulations and will coordinate with the customers to resolve routine problems regarding aircraft/ engine data systems.

- These systems will include data required for US Air Force G081 system, C-17 Standard Flight Data Recorder, and C-17 engine Optical Quick Assess Recorder repositories.

- In addition the applicant will ensure data quality, maintain process records and files, keep accountability records and make final disposition of the data, records and files.

- The successful applicant will be responsible for responding to the customer requests for a variety of pre-programmed and customized India C-17 data reports to be got extracted from the data systems, principally from the US Air Force G081 system. They will work along with expat LDMs in supporting the logistic data management tasks.

- The right candidate will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, together with good typing and computer skills.

- Formal training/ extensive experience on Microsoft Office applications is essential, as is formal training and experience with aircraft maintenance data systems.

- Ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of information and data retrieval systems. The ability to collate, interpret, tabulate, edit and retrieve information in the desired formats for facilitating entries into the G081 database systems is important.

- Candidate should have previous aircraft maintenance management experience and should have handled aircraft documentation.

- The above experience working with the Indian Air Force/ commercial aviation is preferred.

- The candidate should also have previous experience working in an office environment where flexibility is essential and prompt responses to ad-hoc customer requests are routinely expected.

- This requisition is for an International locally hired position. Candidate must have legal right to work in India.

- Prior experience working on aircraft maintenance documentation is a must.

- The candidate may be required to work in shift pattern as per program needs.

- The candidates must have current security clearance from Police or be eligible to obtain it at short notice for approval of their base access.

- Inability to obtain base access approval will render the candidates in-eligible for employment in this position.

- Relocation benefits are available for the selected candidates but will be limited to in-country moves within India.

Qualifications :

- College Degree with 3-5 years of experience in IT dependent aviation work experience or Diploma in aircraft maintenance with at least 5-7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance environment in defense/ commercial aviation.

- Candidate must have experience in maintaining aircraft documentation in an operational environment.
