About Us :
- 12-16 years experience in leading global Logistics & Operations function in any export heavy Retail/FMCG/Cosmetics/Wellness industry setup.
OR
- 12-16 years in Export-Import company with heavy container movement (mainly Export) of FMCG products across the globe(especially Africa).
- It is imperative that the incumbent should have handled multiple SKU bulk procurement in past for at least 8-10 years in Asian/Far east/Middle East & European countries.
2. Qualification : MBA in Operations Management. International Trade, EXIM (Export heavy), Foreign Trade, Six Sigma certification will be an added qualification
3. Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of entire Supply Chain discipline covering Procurement, logistics and shipment movement.
- Costing & Cost Optimization
- EXIM & Foreign Trade (Export heavy)
- Past experience of global Supply Chain handling (Logistics Heavy experience)-handling 150-200 containers/month
- Knowledge of working on ERP(preferably Microsoft 365)
- Inventory Management Skills
Detailed Roles & Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Planning & Operations
- Responsible for that segment of operations that starts after the procurement team has placed orders with the designated suppliers/manufacturers and the confirmation is received on the receipt of goods into own warehouse - upto the end of the value chain wherein the intended cargo is loaded onto the vessels for sailing. This would involve elements of PPC function too.
- Work with cross functional business units for supply chain operations to include working with the internal stakeholders from delivery planning and monitoring and final logistics and storage/shipment/delivery; then ongoing performance management and improvement.
- Familiarity with relevant shipping, EXIM and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms/ INCOTERMS and conditions to mitigate any probable legal risk
- Achieve growth (in terms of revenue) vis-a-vis targets by executing the procurement plan/Annual Operating Plan (AOP) as per mutual agreement of the Board of Directors
- Ensure expansion & development of new vendor base by networking with prospective Liners/Shipping companies, supply chain partners and relationship management
- Build a strong position for the organization in its geography for operational excellence in logistics & EXIM services.
2. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with potential and current vendors and also prospective network
- Engage in regular Customer Satisfaction Surveys & work upon the feedback received in terms of order execution, meeting TAT & customer service satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate time bound redressal of Group Company/Customer complaint redressal & pre & post shipment queries
3. Operations & MIS
- Work with key executives on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation programs to align with the AOP.
- Identify emergency requirements of various products/materials and arrange supplies for the same. Maintain routine running inventory and Buffer Stock to ensure operational guidelines are met.
- Streamline MIS templates to facilitate real time prompt decision making culture-train the teams on the same
- Maintain enough and adequate urgency in the ecosystem by pushing the Sales & Purchase teams/HODs to help in achieving the Operations/Logistics execution target every month.
- Establish prompt and efficient reciprocal links between the Accounts & Procurement Teams regarding payment to suppliers and ensure that swift copies are shared with the suppliers on prompt and timely basis-endeavor to gradually do away with the 'Follow-Up' culture.
- Build an efficient Logistics Team that compliments the 'Service Excellence' facet of the organization. Real time info should be available to the customer at all times.
- Ensure that the stipulated monthly execution targets are met in letter and spirit and within the laid down TAT - OTIF culture to be fostered at all times.
4. Leadership & Team Development
- Ensure self & team's alignment to organizational goals, policies and support to other departments
- Monitor, equip the team to monitor themselves & engage in constant performance discussion to identify gaps and improve performance (as per Lykis PMS cycle)
- Develop oneself and team through organizational initiatives like coaching, training, continuous feedback session, etc.
