Main Priorities:
The jobholder will be responsible for diligently supporting the team in various sell-side and buy-side M&A and fund-raising mandates. Below are the predominant responsibilities:
- Assistance in preparation of investor materials (teaser, information memorandum, etc), financial models, valuation models, etc
- Undertaking financial analysis – this would involve review and analysis of financial statements, ratio analysis, etc
- Take near independent responsibility and carry out effective market research, industry research, target and buyer search, etc
- Assist in company and business valuation using standard valuation methodologies
- Preparation of presentations for senior management of the client
- Support in pitching for new clients – undertaking a detailed study to identify possible ideas/ opportunities
Qualifications:
- Qualified CA (cleared in 1st attempt)/ MBA from a tier 1 institute
- If CA, rank in final will be an added advantage
- CFA (completed or ongoing) could be an added advantage
Skills/ Knowledge:
- Strong academic background
- Reasonably good technical ability, logical reasoning and ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of MS PPT and Excel
Experience:
1-3 years of post qualification experience in the following:
- Investment banking undertaking industry search, target search, company profiling, preparing information memorandums, pitch books, financial modelling
- Prior experience of supporting in live deals would be an added advantage
