Blue Ocean - Senior Manager/Director - Data Architect

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Senior Manager/Director of Software Architecture will be an integral part of the Artificial Intelligence and Product Engineering organization. This organization is the Innovation Hub of the company and is chartered with solving complex business problems through Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing, and Product and Platform Engineering. This is a hands-on technical leadership role and reports to the SVP, Artificial Intelligence.

1. Responsibilities :

- Convert business objectives and product roadmaps into robust production solutions through efficient system design and technical architecture.

- Define processes, frameworks and technical specifications for platform development. Build scalable, serviceable and fault-resilient system architectures for multiple products and solutions.

- Establish data architecture requirements of multiple products, baseline data acquisition techniques, and implement data lakes and warehouses.

- Design, validate and deploy state-of-the-art data models for both legacy and new applications.

- Build self-service data platforms for large-scale AI processing and data mining.

- Lead technical collaboration with partners, customers and in-house engineering teams.

- Systemic study of the latest research and industry developments in product, solution and data architecture. Leverage these developments to solve real-world business problems.

- Envisage next-generation architecture challenges, and recommend solutions to solve them.

- Establish reference architectures, and facilitate IP generation in the organization.

2. Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Technology.

- 14+ years of experience in solution architecture, data engineering, and/or software development.

- Strong expertise in BI architectures, RDBMS (especially MS Sql Server), NoSql databases (Must- MongoDB), data warehousing, data modeling, and Big Data (Hadoop.)

- Strong understanding of software design, development, validation and deployment.

- Expertise in distributed systems, streaming architectures (like Apache Spark), and container-based systems (like Docker).

- (Good to have) Exposure to Artificial Intelligence solutions and Machine Learning development.

3. Personal Skills :

- Ability to work on complex, highly visible, global engagements under minimal supervision.

- Successfully operate in a fast-paced, dynamic and high-pressure environment.

- Lead multiple complex, technical programs at a single point of time.
