The Chief Financial Officer will play a strategic role in expanding the company's financial management across both Indian and international markets. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including domestic and international fundraising, investment strategies, compliance with Indian and international financial regulations, and managing the overall financial health of the company in a global context.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
- Develop a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with both domestic and international financial landscapes.
- Ensure effective cash flow, financial forecasting, and risk management in a global financial environment.
2. Fundraising and Investor Relations:
- Lead fundraising initiatives targeting both Indian and foreign investors, including venture capital, private equity, and institutional investors.
- Cultivate relationships with global financial partners and understand the nuances of fundraising in different markets.
3. International Financial Compliance:
- Oversee compliance with FDI regulations, FEMA guidelines, and other relevant international financial laws.
- Stay updated with global financial trends and regulatory changes that could impact the company's operations.
4. Debt Raising:
- Engage with Indian and international banks and financial institutions for debt financing.
- Navigate complex financial markets to secure optimal financing.
5. Controllership:
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards across all jurisdictions the company operates in.
- Implement robust internal controls and financial reporting systems for both Indian and international operations.
6. Group Level Finance Management:
- Manage financial operations across the parent company and subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with global financial strategies.
- Adapt financial practices to meet the requirements of diverse economic regions.
7. Compliance:
- Ensure comprehensive compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, both in India and in international markets.
- Manage corporate governance and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
8. Department Building:
- Build a finance team capable of operating in a global market, with a focus on cross-border financial management.
- Develop training programs that encompass both Indian and international financial practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA (Chartered Accountant), MBA (Finance) preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years' experience in financial management roles, with significant exposure to the Indian and international financial markets.
- Expertise in FDI, FEMA, and international financial regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing international fundraising and investor relations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of steering the company through complex global financial landscapes.
