Senior Manager/Assistant General Manager/Deputy General Manager - Legal
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Management (civil/criminal, arbitration, IPR related cases):
- Strategic thinking on Litigation requirements
- Ensure timely initiation of actions.
- Ensure timely and adequate response.
- Prepare strategic action-plans for the ongoing lawsuits and implement approved actions.
- Maintain updated litigation tracker for the review of the management.
Contracts:
- Ensure timely renewal of all the contracts.
- Vetting, negotiating and finalizing commercial contracts.
- Maintain contract lifecycle tracker.
Intellectual Property Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for protecting the intellectual property of the company.
- Support business development and marketing team on legal front for evaluating new products, new markets/territories, and legal scenario.
- Conduct due diligence study for Trademark portfolio and develop strategies for Trademark protection, mitigate legal risk and secure brands.
- Actively enforce IP rights, respond infringement matters, office actions and legal suites.
- Ensure timely renewal of all the Trademarks and maintain updated Trademark portfolio.
General:
- Develop strategies for resolving international disputes efficiently and effectively.
- Provide in-house legal support to BD, sales, marketing, finance, regulatory, compliance and HR teams.
- Actively support the management for the evaluation of possible joint-ventures, mergers, acquisitions and new business opportunities.
- Effectively and efficiently outsource legal support from the identified and approved law firms/agents/attorneys
