Position Summary:

- We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant based in Bengaluru, India to manage accounting of financial transactions of projects and contracts for Black Box.

- Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the successful resource will be part of Centre of Excellence (CoE) team based in Bangalore and will play a key role in building up a team that can deliver world-class services to our stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

- Review of project / contract terms and ensure that same are reflected in the ERP system

- Manage project / contract accounting and its controls

- Ensure accurate cost & revenue recognition for each project or contract

- Review project / contract financial performance in line with term sheet - review revenue and gross margin on an order, customer and business unit level

- Prepare financial and management reports including month end reconciliations

- Act as a financial sparring partner for the project managers and financial management team

- Manage audits with regards to projects

- Ensure timely follow-ups of all outstanding items for accurate accounting

- Resolve internal customer inquiries in a professional manner

- Support the work of the team as directed by management

- Submit monthly reports and assisting in month-end-closing

- Contribute to the working environment by displaying a positive attitude and a high work ethic

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures and policy and with a US GAAP regime

- Maintain documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

- Assist in the testing, deployment, and management of processes/projects supporting the cost accounting function

- Must be strong in solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Must possess good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Must have extensive knowledge of accounting practices.

- Must possess strong leadership skills & ability to interact with top management / external agencies.

- Must be proficient in good presentation skills and MS-Office suite.

- Must have strong exposure to SAP S/4 Hana GUI and Fiori apps

- Must have hands-on working experience in SAP projects and CPM (especially in Cost-to-Cost based revenue recognition on Fixed Priced Projects in SAP)

- Must have good working experience in all Revenue/COPA processes, including RA, RAR and Settlement for multiple types of orders (projects, sales orders, contracts and service orders), multiple RA keys and settlement rules for different order types.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance.

- CA / CPA / Cost Accountant (CMA) highly preferred.

- Requires 10+ years of progressive accounting experience including management experience.
