What you'll be doing:
- This role is for Head of FI Partnerships based out of Mumbai.
- We are looking for a highly motivated and result-oriented individual who will build and nurture the network of Financial Institutions (FI) i.e. Banks, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and FinTechs, to build Supply chain finance portfolio for BizongoFin by building a B2B lending portfolio, leveraging the platform's innovative and unique credit distribution models.
- Develop and execute FI Relationships and Alliances Strategy: Create a comprehensive strategy to identify , build and manage relationships across Banks, other Financial Institutions, Fintechs and other Alliance partners, establish a portfolio, and oversee the process for new FI onboarding.
- To acquire, build and maintain strong relationships with Key Financial Institutions by leveraging CXO level contacts and drive business growth by establishing a strong understanding of their lending goals and objectives.
- Understands Trade and Supply Chain Finance product offering and has ability to align on product and programme structures with FI in line with the customers requirements.
- Strategic management of FIs in a consistent manner and grow the overall portfolio and drive cross-sell/up-sell across diverse product portfolios.
- Negotiate Structured Deals: Lead negotiations for structured financing deals and programmes to secure FI partnerships, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Deep understanding of the Supply side i.e. Financial Institutions (Banks, NBFIs, and FinTechs) and their key focus area for financing i.e. sectors, industries, segments.
- Work closely with the business head and sales team as an enabler for business by bridging any gaps w.r.t to technology, product and processes and also market inputs/trends being shared internally.
- Partner cross-functionally with our Product, Technology, Legal and Compliance teams to structure financing products specific to customer needs & situations.
- Drive Innovation: Work with partner FIs to co-create innovative financial products that align with the needs of both clients and the FIs.
What will make you a great candidate:
- Relevant work experience of 7+ years in banking, NBFI or fintech, with a strong focus on building strategic partnerships and business development.
- Proven track record of working with senior executives in FIs to establish and grow long-term partnerships.
- Deep understanding of banking operations, regulatory frameworks, and the fintech ecosystem.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex deals and relationships.
- Keen interest and orientation to technology and understanding of the digital landscape including DPI.
- Strong proficiency in Trade and Supply Chain Finance products, applicable regulations and ability to structure client specific solutions, identify and align the right FIs in order to optimise the programme.
- Strong senior and CXO level connects with FIs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.
- Willingness to travel extensively to meet FIs and attend industry events.
- Go-getter ability to work independently with high level of ownership to take decisions on the FI strategy and effectively and expand supply chain programmes.
- Ability to work efficiently with all internal stakeholders including product and technology, service teams to ensure handling operational & service queries.
- Strong financial, analytical skills and technology orientation.
- Prior team handling experience required.
- Qualified MBA from Tier 1 B-School.
