JOB PROFILE
- Experienced Business Development professional in Manufacturing vertical
- Should have extensive experience in selling technology Services to Manufacturing companies, their arms, subsidiaries or captives both Indian and MNC in the Southern India
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Hunt for new business acquisition in Manufacturing space for the service offerings of Birlasoft, in specified region, handling the complete sales lifecycle.
2. Mining existing accounts for additional business through development of engagement by cross-selling the full service portfolio.
3. The person should have good contacts with prospective clients and have a good networking in Manufacturing Industry and with alliance partners like SAP, Oracle, IBM etc.
4. Managing day-to-day relationships with clients and developing a deep understanding of their requirements and long-term business strategies.
5. Work closely with delivery functions in ensuring successful execution of projects, allowing complete tracking of the engagement against business parameters set.
6. Work Closely with Pre Sales & Marketing to identify and communicate customer and Industry requirement.
7. Identify Partnerships and Alliances across the region and create new engines of revenue.
8. Guide and Mentor Lead generation team to generate Leads through various campaigns.
9. Manage the full corporate sales cycle - from initial unqualified enquiry, quotation, evaluation and support issues, commercials, price negotiation and closure. Increase the conversion rate of enquiries/ closed sales.
10. Monitor and report on all activities and forecasts and provide relevant management information
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
1. Significant experience on Solution and Service Sales in Manufacturing segment. Hunting Sales experience would be an added advantage.
2. Should have selling experience of high value deals to the Manufacturing Companies in India. Specific selling experience to Auto, Industrial, Hitech and Pharmaceutical companies is necessary.
3. Should have an experience in working with Indian SI companies - Excellent Communicator, with drive and ambition, result focused approach.
4. He should be a self starter
5. Target driven, leads from the front, Good Negotiating Skills
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Bachelors Degree in a Business related discipline, computer science or engineering with an MBA preferred.
2. Business Development/Sales experience of at least 8-12 years in the IT industry out of which 5 years of local experience in South of India
3. Ability to prove the Account Management capabilities in developing and retaining key accounts
4. Outstanding track record in delivering sales numbers ideally in high growth companies
