About the job:
Role: Head - Warehouse Operations
Department: Supply Chain Management
Scope: This position is responsible for managing warehouse and dispatch operations for all sites in Bangalore.
Leadership:
This is a leadership position responsible to:
- Manage a team of 70+ FTEs and ~70 contract workforce.
- Drive productivity and ensure compliance in warehouse operations.
- Manage operations of 5 warehouses in Bangalore with 12000+pallet spaces.

- Budget Accountability Manage approved operational budget for warehouse.

Core Roles:
- Establish best practices within warehouse commensurate with regulatory and statutory guidelines.
- Manage day-to-day functioning of warehouse and ensure productivity targets are met.
- Plan resource management and scheduling as per shift requirements and manufacturing targets.
- Ensure adherence to CGMP and EHS norms as per established procedures.
- Always maintain an audit ready facility.
- Maintain inventory hygiene and accuracy, minimize waste.
- Timely closure of QMS elements and CAPAs linked to warehouse operations.
- Manage warehouse spend within approved budgets and meet defined savings and sustainability targets.
- Manage stakeholder relations and enhance customer service levels.
- Align warehouse performance with organizational goals and vision.
- Drive continuous improvements and 6 sigma programs to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage talent/skill development and retention programs, maintain high engagement score with teams.
- Coordinate with inventory controller to clear distressed inventory and manage appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure adherence to fiscal and regulatory governance procedures as per company policies.
- Maintain MIS, operations data and setup management review processes.
- Drive culture of innovation and continuous improvement aligned to GxP standards.
- Education: Masters or Graduate/Degree Supply Chain operations or equivalent, MBA preferable.
Knowledge:
- Sound understanding of Biopharmaceutical warehouse operations and GxP standards, with extensive experience in hosting regulatory audits.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and working knowledge of SAP, WMS and MES Systems.
Skills: People management and communication skills and proficient at change and conflict management.
